Manzanilla Beach

Trinidad Beach

Manzanilla Beach

Manzanilla Beach is located on the east coast of Trinidad.  It is one of the quieter and less busy beach.  Maybe that's why the local leatherback sea turtles choose this beach as their hatching site :).

It's about one and a half hour drive to get to Manzanilla beach from San Fernando.

The new 800 Feet Manzanilla Sea Wall was opened July 26 2015.

The Manzanilla Beach Facility is scheduled to reopen on 7 August 2015.

The water looks so inviting!...

Beach Lime...

Trinidad Beach

Mayaro Beach

Well you know when Trinis hear long weekend, we think about the beach.  How about going to Mayaro beach.

Some of the popular beach resorts in Mayaro are R.A.S.H., Radix, Queen's Beach Resort and Harrys4u (they all have websites with more information).  The government has earmarked a four star hotel and integrated resort for Mayaro.

Most of the Resorts have pools now.

And some have restaurants.

I like Mayaro beach, but the waves can be a bit 'rough' at times.  If my family decides to visit Mayaro this weekend, you would more than likely find us on the shore 'sand bathing' or in the pool. :)

Beach Time!

Trinidad Beach

Clifton Hill Beach

The kids will be home for two months and finding things to do can be difficult with a hectic work-life schedule, but taking time out to visit the beach can be relaxing.  I love taking my daughter to the Clifton Hill beach, the waves are normally calm and the water very inviting.

The Clifton Hill Beach Resort located in Point Fortin opened their doors to visitors in April 2014.  This resort started through an initiative of Atlantic LNG but was handed over to the Point Fortin Borough in 2012.

This new facility includes changing rooms, restaurant, bar, pavilion, stage, and conference room.

The swimming pool is scheduled to open on 6th July 2015.  I'm sure the kids will love the pool.
